YogaWorks

Bringing a Timeless Practice to Modern Times
At YogaWorks, we stand in awe of the ancient, rich and deep history of Yoga. For thousands of years great Yoga Masters have brought new inspiration, innovations, and a new generation of students to the practice. Today, in our own way, YogaWorks continues that tradition by offering a diverse and inspired selection of classes across three styles and levels of Ashtanga, Viniyasa and Viniyoga.

Whether you are a beginner, an intermediate level student, or a YogaWorks veteran, you will find a program that is right for your level to support and guidance you need to get the most out of your Yoga practice, all day, every day at YogaWorks.

Now- at park Raanana or at your house

Prenatal yoga

Pregnancy is a unique and wondrous time in life. The Prenatal Yoga class’s goal is to maintain a comfortable and contemplative environment for pregnant women and their families. As a Prenatal Yoga teacher I help parents and children openly explore the mind, body, and spirit. Class size is intentionally kept small; assuring that you will receive individual attention. I have conveniently arranged a series of classes specifically designed to guide you and your child through the journey of pregnancy and beyond

Prenatal Yoga - The program helps strengthen the body for child bearing and aids in relieving the common discomforts your body experiences. Classes also help you find the time and space to look within yourself, allowing you to openly explore your own intrinsic knowledge about the process of birth.

Postnatal - If there are no extenuating circumstances, your doctor will probably give you the ok to exercise six weeks after you give birth and you can give postpartum yoga a try as well.

ItsyBitsyYoga

ItsyBitsyYoga classes are popular with the newborn set. These classes are usually geared to accommodate babies aged six weeks to walking.

In most ItsyBitsyYoga classes, moms place a yoga blanket, usually covered with a blanket from home in case of spit-up or other spills, at the top of their yoga mat. Feel free to bring a couple of small toys too. In an ideal world, the baby will lie on the blanket happily for the duration of the class. This rarely happens. The nice thing about a ItsyBitsyYoga classis that you are totally free to pick up your baby and feed her, rock him, change her diaper, or walk him around the room if she cries.

Will your Baby Like ItsyBitsy yoga? This depends a lot on the personality of the baby. Some delight in the new sights and stimulation of the classroom environment and are perfectly content to look around and take it all in. Others are freaked out by the very same stimulations and may cry a lot at first, but eventually get used to it, so don't give up if the first class doesn't go well. A few babies may snooze happily through the whole thing.

Hopefully a little bit of a workout. Some classes are very gentle and/or focus a lot on playing little games with the babies (such as singing “Wheels on the Bus”). But dedicated yoga studios tend to offer more workouts and fewer playtimes. You will also get out of the house to a no stressful environment where you will meet other new mothers. The value of this should not be underestimated. Plus, it's never too early to start your kids doing yoga!

There are a few levels and groups of age to do ItsyBitsyYoga. The range is between 6 weeks to 9 years old.

Yoga for the Elderly 65+

Growing Old is the stage when you have more time for yourself, your family, for leisure, recreation and relaxation. However, it is also the time when you are more susceptible to some ailments that are linked to old age like Arthritis, rheumatism, incontinence, and High Blood Pressure. This raises the need for the seniors to stay fit and healthy during this age. Though the degeneration of the body also set some limits to the types of exercises they can do. This leads to the practice of milder forms of exercise such as jogging, brisk walking, and even Yoga.

Yoga is a form of exercise that adapts to your needs and abilities that it can be done even by Senior Citizens and Pregnant Women, and deals with your whole being. It makes your body fitter, the mind calmer and more relaxed. Yoga is also beneficial in the prevention and control of common health and emotional problems that is linked with Old Age. It helps you in becoming more in touch with yourself and your body enabling you to accept who you are and the state you are in which creates a positive approach in life.

Some Yoga Asanas are designed to normalize your blood pressure and balance the Nervous System and are essential in the prevention of heart ailments and problems in the nervous system. The Breathing Techniques can make you feel refreshed and cleanses the air passages which can help prevent respiratory ailments.

In practicing Yoga, know your body and respect its limits. Do not push yourself too hard in a pose. Yoga can only be effective if you practice it properly. The harder you try, the more you expose yourself to injury. Do not put more stress to your already stressed out body. Remember that Yoga aims to quiet the mind as you exercise the body. If you feel pain, stop what you are doing.
